Fall Bucket List
It's Fall Bucket List Time! The first day of Fall with Sept. 22nd. I celebrated on the 20th with my first PSL of the season.
This is a challenging season in our lives. Work is intense and parenting our youngest with a seizure disorder, down syndrome and the resulting medicine side effects is intense and anxiety producing. Life feels very difficult just getting it done, let alone trying to set goals.
But I am wired for goals and bucket lists. It's all about feeling like I can have some control and not simply live in reaction mode to the challenge of a big job and enormous parenting demands. And I love fall! It's my favorite season!
Here's my bucket list for Fall 2017:
Decorate for fall. This is very important to me and I actually have to plan time in order to make it happen.
Annual visit to the pumpkin patch. Like a lot of us, this is an annual family tradition. Riding the little train, picking out the pumpkin, playing on the playground.
Celebrate the fall equinox in some way.
Family hike in the fall leaves.
Halloween fun: have both kids' costumes by October 15! Participate in Treats on Main--our little town's trick or treat night.
Celebrate the fall family birthdays--my mom's, dad's, Kai's (the Big 5!) and Clint's. Wow, that's a lot of family birthdays.
Host Thanksgiving!
There's several other things for work and ministry that are on my mind for this fall, but these are our family related ones.
What's on your fall bucket list?
